Four Panelists to Discuss Cyber Security at Networking Event

Technology Integration Group and Pacific Southwest Council are co-hosting the Cyber Security Panel and Networking Event June 24, 2015 in San Diego, Calif.

The event features four panelists addressing the questions and answers of keeping data secure for small businesses, their clients, and employees. Each participant brings to the panel a different viewpoint: from experts in the technology field to minority business owners discussing their own struggles to corporations who present their best practices for securing their data.

Paul CachoPaul Cacho, Director of the Security and Wireless Practice at TIG is responsible for developing and implementing the go-to market strategy and partner alignments. Cacho has over 17 years of experience in the consulting and reseller channels in both sales and professional services, including management roles. He began his career as a systems engineer in the network infrastructure space and has worked directly in enterprise network environments. Cacho also works closely with the sales leadership at TIG in assuring security and wireless messaging is presented to the diverse TIG client base, as well as engaging directly with clients to develop the appropriate security strategy their specific business requires. Cacho has developed strong relationships in the industry and continues to leverage those relationships to provide “best of breed solutions” for TIG’s clients around the country.

Winslow GarnierWinslow Garnier, Managing Member and Founder, Garnier Group and Associates, LLC is a certified personal property appraiser with extensive background in the appraisal and liquidation of assets, ranging from complex high-technology equipment to biofuel production machinery and equipment. Garnier offers expert witness and litigation support for state and federal courts in California for Ad Valorem Assessment Appeals Board. He has overseen billions of dollars of equipment valued. Prior to Garnier Group, he held positions as Vice President at Comdisco and GE Capital providing and managing equipment lease originations.

Garnier Group provides equipment and information technology contract management services for banks, insurers, government, and large commercial accounts. Services include equipment leasing, appraisals, E-Discovery, equipment sales, and project IT staffing. Garnier Group is a Veteran-Owned, MBE and SBA 8(A) participant.

 

SRajaGopalanRaja Gopalan, CEO, Global Business Consulting, Inc., leads a high-technology firm that focuses on  meeting their clients’ information technology and security requirements.  A graduate of Columbia Business School in New York City, Gopalan has been in the IT field for over two decades.  As a small business owner, he sees security from two points of view: the one for his large corporate customers, who have to secure the firm’s data at different layers, starting with servers and down to their mobile phones, as well as small business owners who have to protect their own and customers’ data.

 

JohnsonkLaiJohnson K. Lai, VP of Information Technology, Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc is an accomplished business-centric IT executive with an extensive track record of delivering superior business and IT results based on his expansive and deep IT leadership expertise.

Having successfully led teams for preeminent Fortune 250 Companies such as Hewlett Packard, AT&T, Abbott, and currently Thermo Fisher Scientific, as well as smaller start-ups, his experience enables him to yield practical and innovative thinking to organizational opportunities and industry challenges.

He is intimately familiar with nearly all business functions having led or supported enterprise level re-engineering and automation efforts in the Sales/Marketing, Web/e-Commerce, Finance, Legal, Human Resources, Manufacturing, and Distribution areas.  In addition, he has served as an extended member of the corporate strategy and M&A (and integration) teams.  Johnson’s hands-on leadership and ability to motivate employees by creating an optimistic and positive culture enables him to deliver dramatic results.

Johnson has vast global management experiences having accomplished objectives geographically located in Europe and Asia.  As an expatriate located in Singapore, he was part of the leadership team that capitalized on the growth in China and the entire Asia/Pacific region.  Johnson holds a BS and MBA from the University of California, Davis.
